About This Test
The Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT) evaluates how the body responds to a glucose load.
Multiple timed blood samples are taken to assess glucose metabolism, insulin response, and to diagnose diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance. This test measures the 6 glucose levels at the specific interval as suggested by your clinician. This test is done to diagnose Diabetes Mellitus, diagnose Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT), evaluate reactive hypoglycemia, assess glucose handling in patients with borderline sugars and monitor prediabetes progression.

Yes, Fasting is required.
Mon-Sat, sample before 4pm, report same day and sunday reports, next day.
Yes. We use fully automated machines that ensure accurate and consistent results.
Yes. GTT (Glucose Tolerance Test) with multiple time points can help in early detection of several metabolic problems, especially those related to glucose handling and insulin function.
TAT Policy
The Turnaround Time (TAT) depends on the following factors:
- Registration date and time
- Type of scan or test
- Scan time or sample collection time
In uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to test complexity or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed of the estimated TAT at the time of registration.
