Apolipoprotein B

Also Known As: Apo B

About This Test

Apolipoprotein B (Apo B) is the major protein component of atherogenic lipoproteins, including Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL), Very Low-Density Lipoprotein (VLDL), and Intermediate-Density Lipoprotein (IDL). Each atherogenic particle contains one molecule of Apo B, making Apo B a direct measure of the total number of LDL/VLDL particles — the true drivers of atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease (CAD).

Test Parameters (2)
